Waiting for My New Cousin
by Ryan Risse
I’m waiting for my new baby cousin to arrive!
It should be any day now
my Aunt feels like she’s bigger than a cow!
I can’t wait to see her little face
and let her know she has a place
in this family of mine.
Her name is going to be Riley,
she’ll be cute, funny and smiley!
I will hold her in my arms
and tell her that I love her
because she’s a cousin like no other!!

Journal Entry

Good Morning 3rd Graders,

Mother's Day is coming up. I think it is important to reflect on why the people in our lives mean so much to us. It helps us appreciate them more. Using your very best writing skills, tell me why you love your mom so much and why she is important to you. Happy writing!!!

Love,
Mrs. Woytek

Us by Andrew Zuccarelli

Us

Me and him
Him and me
Always together
As you can see
He likes soda
I like ice tea
It's a pain
We can't agree
Sometimes we fight
It can't always be he
That's a shame
I found the key
We're two friends with two faces
Him and me
Worse than two
We could be three

Baseball

by Ryan Risse

Baseball is fun
It is cool
I like to play
when I come home from school.
When you hear the ball on the bat go crack,
you know you got a good whack!

Beach

Written by Kathleen Murphy
The sand feels good on my feet the water is a masterpiece.
The wind blows slowly through my hair.
The sun shines sweetly on my back.
There is joy in my face.
I hear the water make a sweet melody.
I love this place.
I love the beach.
The calming most beautiful place.

The Beach

Written by Meaghan Janis

The beach is so fun!!
You can play in the ocean
or in the sand.
But be careful because the
sand can get HOT!!!
It is sunny outside and the perfect
weather to play in.
When summer comes I know it will be time
for the beach.
But when summer is over I will have to
wait til next year.

I Want To Be Free

written by Olivia Thompson and Caroline Smith

I want my family to be free
Because I don’t have any money
I work hard and I don’t get any credit

I have a family
I have two children
One is named Olivia and the other Caroline

I barely know my children
I get pictures from my wife
But I still miss my family
I barely see them in sight

But one day I saw my friend
And he said you are free to go
I was so happy
Now I could see my family
And I am free

I still can’t build a house
Because I still don’t have any money
But I don’t need money
I just need some love

This Is My Life

written by Olivia Thompson and Caroline Smith

This is my life
This is my dream
This is what I want to be

This is my life
This is my dream
Can’t you see inside of me?

I could be a doctor
Helping animals too, but
Instead I’m playing tennis here for you

This is my life
This is my dream
This is what I want to be

This is my life
This is my dream
Can’t you see inside of me?

I could be a soccer star
Teaching people how to play, but
Instead I’m a rock star playing for you today

This is my life
This is my dream
This is what I want to be

This is my life
This is my dream
Just be who you want to be!
